In addition to great reviews on our precious Golden Doodle puppies, we also receive questions about what constitutes a Golden Doodle and a Double Doodle. Here are some facts that we hope will help.

Note:  we do not breed Double Doodles. This requires a Labradoodle for breeding.

• A Golden Doodle is a combination of the best qualities in a Poodle and a Golden Retriever. To successfully breed (ensuring an even-tempered, adorable, loyal and healthy puppy) a breeder uses either a poodle or retriever with a Golden Doodle. Golden Doodles have a unique face that is highly desirable with its black nose and teddy bear look. Combining a poodle with a Golden Doodle produces dogs with the best of a poodle such as no/low shedding coat and their high intellect which makes training easy.
• Using a retriever with a Golden Doodle produces a larger dog that may shed like the retriever and have a straighter (flat) coat but still possess the loyal and adorable traits as with the poodle/doodle combination.
• We use a toy poodle and a Teacup Golden Doodle to ensure the smaller size which is our specialty. This combination produces Micro Teacup Golden Doodles or Teacup Golden Doodles.  A Mini Golden Doodle with a toy poodle to produce Teacup Golden Doodles.
• Using a Standard Poodle and Retriever will produce a larger dog. Our specialty is the smaller breeds.
• Double Doodles are a combination of three breeds- Golden Retrievers, Poodles and Labrador Retrievers. Puppies are bred using a Golden Doodle (Poodle and Golden Retriever) and a Labradoodle (Labrador Retriever and Poodle). These are intelligent and trusting dogs with an adorable appearance and great personality, much like the Golden Doodle. They are also easily trained.
• **A Double Doodle is not produced by breeding a Golden Doodle with another Golden Doodle!
• *Breeding a Golden Doodle with another Golden Doodle is NOT recommended as there may be health concerns and an unpredictable and undesirable temperament. Due to the wonderous way that genetics work the puppies could end up either full poodles or Golden retrievers. Often, such a combination also results in an odd shaped face or a dog that sheds just like retrievers. This combination is considered unethical among true Golden Doodle and authentic Double Doodle breeders. So, if you’re ready for a Doodle of your own, check the Parent Dogs prior to purchasing to ensure you’re getting a true Golden Doodle or Double Doodle. If you want a Micro Teacup or a Teacup Golden Doodle, then you came to the right place!!!!

  • Potty training/house breaking for Beginners starts at 3 weeks which acclimates them to outdoor play and potty time.
  • We do not use paper or potty pad training as this habit can be carried over and can be very hard to break.  By the time they come home to you, they should be well on their way to outside potty time. 
  • Introduction to water play and bathing  GOAL: to enjoy bathtime, not fear it, to be able to enjoy water activities with you(with a vest for safety)
  • First set of shots and deworming
